Alcooleux
Alcoholic

Sense : palate - Type : default
unbalanced by too much alcohol.

Aigre
Sour

Sense : mouth - Type : default
presence of a high level of vinegar-like acidity.

Amer
Bitter

Sense: palate - Type: default
one of the five flavors detected by the mouth (with sweet, sour, salty and umami). Due to tannins that are coarse or too excessive.

Ample
Loose

Sense : nose (retro-olfactory) - Type : quality
long in the mouth and fully occupying it with a wide aromatic palette by retro-olfaction.

Amylique ->
Amylic

Sense : palate - Type: default
aggressive flavor due to an excess of amyl alcohol, generally coming from vinification that is too low in temperature, and approaching aromas of banana, English candy or even varnish. Particularly present in early wines.

Animal

Sense : nose
aromas which are close to the animal kingdom (venison, musk, leather, etc.) and perceived today as a defect whereas they were once sought after in certain red wines.
