The arch of vine shoots is practiced from mid-February, after the pruning of the vine. This operation consists of bending the vine shoot to slow down the circulation of the sap in its lower part, in order to promote the development of the buds located at the base, as well as a harmonious distribution of the vegetation. Humid weather facilitates this delicate operation, the rod being more flexible. The arches must be completed before bud burst, the start of the vine's vegetative cycle.
